Body of Missing Naperville Man, 23, Found in South Dakota
Jordan Baznik of Naperville was reported missing on Aug. 7 by friends, according to media reports. His body was located Friday.

A 23-year-old Naperville man’s body was found Friday in a remote wilderness area in South Dakota after friends reported him missing on Aug. 7, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Jordan Baznik was on a road trip with friends, en route to see a concert in Canada, when the group made a detour in South Dakota to make a stop at Mt. Rushmore, the newspaper reports.
The Rapid City Journal reports Baznik’s body was found at 5:30 p.m. Friday just as searchers were beginning to wrap up their efforts for the weekend. Baznik’s body was found about a mile ”from the Iron Creek trail head in the Black Elk Wilderness area south of Mt. Rushmore,” according to the Chicago Tribune.

His friends reported he was last seen with them at a Keystone hotel and left the group at about midnight on Aug. 6 after telling them he needed a towel, according to the Rapid City Journal.
A preliminary investigation showed Baznik, a graduate of Naperville Central High School, died of hypothermia, according to the Naperville Sun.
