Bond was set at $250,000 Monday for a Bolingbrook soccer coach accused of having inappropriate text message conversations of a sexual nature with someone he believed to be a minor, the Will County State’s Attorney’s office said.

Jason Lentz, 39, was arrested early Saturday at his home in the 1400 block of Firethorn Street by investigators from several jurisdictions, including the Will County State’s Attorney’s High Technology Crimes Unit, the Bolingbrook Police Department, the DuPage County Internet Crimes Unit and the Naperville Police Department’s High Technology Crimes Unit. The arrest came more than month after authorities began investigating allegations that he was sending the texts to juvenile girls.

Lentz was charged with indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a child and unlawful grooming, all felonies.

Lents is being held at the Will County jail and must post $25,000 to secure his release while he awaits trial. Pelkie said he must also surrender his passport.

As a condition of his bond, Lentz is prohibited from having contact with the Bolingbrook Raiders, as well as with anyone under the age of 18, according to Pelkie, and he also cannot use the Internet except for work purposes.
