Catapult Your Pumpkins At Lewis Recycling Event

The Nov. 6 event will also offer document shredding and electronics recycling.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Will County and Lewis Univerity have partnered for the sixth annual county collection of pumpkins for recycling. In addition to catapulting some pumpkins, there will also be document shredding and electronics recycling offered at the event.

The event will be held at Lewis, 1 University Parkway, from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 6.

According to the county, the Lewis Physics Club will be operating catapults for the launching of pumpkins and gourds. Participants can bring up to 10 pumpkins per person. All pumpkins will be collected and taken to be mixed and composted, according to the county.

There will also be a drive-thru document shredding at the event, with a limit of 3 boxes per car. Electronics recycling is also offered, with a limit of 2 TVs per car, according to the county.
