Century Park Renovations Begin
The park, at 1475 W. Taylor Road, will get a new playground footprint, new playground equipment, ADA improvements, and more.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Renovations will soon begin at Century Park in Romeoville. The park's original playground was installed in 2000 and has reached its useful life expectancy, the Village said in a release.
The park, at 1475 W. Taylor Road, will get a new playground footprint, new playground equipment, ADA improvements, basketball court resurfacing and new basketball hoops, according to the Village.
In August, the Village Board approved the purchase of new playground equipment at a cost of $98,721.97.

Construction fencing is scheduled to be installed this week with a projected completion of early spring 2023, the Village said.
When finished, the new playground will include both play spaces for ages 2-5 and also a structure for ages 5-12. This project will also include new benches, trash receptacles and a bike rack, according to the Village.

During construction, access to the restrooms and ballfields will be rerouted outside the construction fence for access. Certain portions of the trail will also be closed for ADA improvements during construction.
