Chalk The Drive Planned During Founder's Day Weekend
The chalk art contest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — There are still spots available for the Village of Romeoville's first Chalk the Drive contest during its Founder's Day Entertainment weekend.
The chalk art contest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18. According to the village, check-in begins at 11 a.m. and judging will begin at 4 p.m.
Each artist will have one parking stall to create their work, and a 12-pack of chalk will be provided, the village said. A $50 gift card will be awarded to the first and second place winners, who will be selected by a panel of judges.

Founder's Day Entertainment weekend will be held Sept. 16-Sept. 19 at Deer Crossing Park, and will feature live music, art displays, food trucks, children's activities, a parade, fireworks and more.
