Checkers Restaurant Gets Final Approval In Romeoville
The Route 53 restaurant will have a drive-through and outdoor patio but no indoor seating.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Village Board recently approved the final plans for a new Checkers restaurant, to be built at Route 53 and Phelps Avenue at the former site of Lazer Car wash.
The 1,000 square foot restaurant will have a single drive-through lane and a limited outdoor patio, according to the village. The restaurant will not have any indoor seating.
"The building will reflect Checkers retro branding, featuring a metallic winged roof and checkerboard tile exterior," the village said in a news release. "Checkers is one of the many new business coming to the Route 53 Corridor. Other businesses that have recently opened include the Express Car Wash and Thorntons."
