Cop On A Rooftop Planned In Romeoville Aug. 19

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville Police will participate in the Special Olympics Cop on a Rooftop event on Aug. 19. The annual event is a partnership between the Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics Illinois, according to the department.

Officers across the state collect money to benefit Special Olympics Illinois at participating Dunkin' locations.

In Romeoville, officers will be at Dunkin' locations at 239 S. Weber Road and 649 N. Independence Blvd., from 5 a.m. to noon on Aug. 19.

If you donate, you will receive a coupon for a free donut. If you donate $10 or more, you will get a travel mug and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee, according to a release from the department.
