Dalhart Avenue Closed Wednesday For Construction

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Part of Dalhart Avenue, from Alexander to Normantown Road will be closed Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for water main installation, the Village said on Facebook.

The White Oak Library parking lot and the south RC Hill parking lot will still be accessible, according to the village.

Village Manager Dawn Caldwell said a fire hydrant is being replaced in that area, which requires working across the entire street.

Also in Romeoville, closures are expected to begin on Illinois 53 this week, according to IDOT. Patching and resurfacing will be done on 53 from Joliet Road to south of Interstate 55. That project is expected to be done in late October.
