DUI, Retail Theft, Handicapped Parking Signs Stolen: Romeoville Blotter

Arrests and incidents occurred between Nov. 5 and Nov. 14.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Nov. 5

Michael Bruno, 24, of Shorewood, was charged with driving under the influence, driving too fast for conditions, failure to report accident and failure to give information. The arrest occurred in the area of 135th and New Avenue.

A burglary was reported in the 400 block of North Weber Road. Someone damaged a door to gain entry and took $300 from the cash box.

Thomas Simmons, 25, of Evergreen park, was picked up in the 200 block of Rocbaar for an in-state warrant.

Kimberly Glista, 41, of the 600 block of Avalon in Romeoville, was charged with criminal damage to property.

Nov. 8

Perry Olin, 64, of the 16300 block of Winding Creek Rd. in Plainfield, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Hamrick. Someone threw a rock at a sliding glass door of the residence. Estimated cost of damage is $200.00.

Nov. 9

Kennedy Hayes, 18, of Berwyn, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Weber Road.

Kira Oslazni, 18, of the 200 block of Parkside Dr. in Shorewood, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Weber Road.

A retail theft was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. An unknown person took two cartons of cigarettes valued at $148.84 from the business.

A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 0-100 block of Paragon. Someone took two handicapped parking signs from the parking lot.

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Someone took 8 video games with a total value of $519.85 from the business.

A retail theft was reported in the 340 block of North Independence. A person took a cell phone with a value of $159.99 from the business.

Nov. 11

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 600 block of North Weber Road. Someone spray painted graffiti on the walls. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $300.00.

Nov. 12

A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Heather Court. Someone took a Toyota Camry valued at $8,238 from the parking lot.

A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. A customer reported that her wallet was stolen from her shopping cart.

Nov. 14

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the area of Airport and Taylor. Someone spray painted several sections of fence doing an estimated $200 worth of damage.

A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 200 block of Hemlock. Someone took two pairs of shoes that were delivered to the residence. Total value of the shoes is $388.83.
