DUI, Theft, 100 Bags of Mulch Stolen: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents and arrests occurred between July 14 and July 26.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

July 14

Nicole Mesta, 20, of the 500 block of N. Hickory St. in Joliet, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

July 15

Johnathan Mason, 26, of the 500 block of Sharon Way in Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft and resisting an officer. The arrest occurred in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive.

July 16

Chadrick Baker, 35, of the 300 block of Macon Ave., was charged with driving under the influence, disregarding a stop sign and improper lane usage. The arrest occurred in the area of Romeo Road and Belmont.

July 18

Matthew Palumbo, 20, of the 100 block of Breakenridge Farm in Oak Brook, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment and illegal possession of alcohol. The arrest occurred in the 1100 block of Murphy Drive.

July 20

William Davis, 57, of Chicago, was charged with theft over $500. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of Innovation Drive.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for no valid driver’s license, no insurance, disobeying a traffic sign and a curfew violation. Two other teens were also arrested for a curfew violation.

July 21

Devon Idelburg, 21, of the 300 block of Ramsey Dr., was charged with possession of drug equipment, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, disobeying a stop sign and speeding. The arrest occurred in the area of Zinnia and Airport.

Eric Williams, 25, of the 1800 block of Lake Shore Ct., was charged with an in-state warrant and assault. The arrest occurred in the 1800 block of Lake Shore Ct.

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of North Weber Road. Someone took over one hundred bags of mulch from an outside area. The product is valued at $838.80.

July 22

David Rodriguez-Alonzo, 30, of the 300 block of McKool, was charged with driving while license restricted, driving under the influence, failure to signal and disobeying a traffic sign. The arrest occurred in the area of Gordon and McKool.

Cesar Corchado, 36, of Chicago, was charged with no valid driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance, driving too fast for conditions and failure to notify police of crash. The arrest occurred in the area of Veterans Parkway and Schmidt Road.

July 23

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 0-100 block of Abbeywood. Someone spray painted graffiti on the siding of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $100.

July 24

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1800 block of Pebblestone Drive. Someone broke the back window and damaged the trunk lid of a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $350.

A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 0-100 block of Kentland Court. Someone entered a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence and took a pistol valued at $300.

July 25

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 500 block of Glen Ave. Someone broke the back window and windshield of a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $400.

July 26

Phil Lucas, 22, of the 1300 block of W. Highpoint Dr., was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment and parking more than 12 inches from the curb. The arrest occurred in the 0-100 block of Harmony Lane.
