Duo Nabbed for Street Racing in Romeoville: Police
The 18-year-old and 31-year-old were allegedly racing near Taylor and Belmont.

ROMEOVILLE, IL -- Two people were arrested following a broad-daylight street race on Jan. 22, Romeoville Police said.
Logan Withers, 18, of 801 Harris Lane, and 31-year-old Arturo Guzman of 19337 John Kirkham Drive in Lockport, were arrested at around 4:14 p.m. Jan. 22, according to a police report.

Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said an officer was on patrol in the area of Taylor and Belmont when he spotted two vehicles coming towards him "at a high rate of speed," apparently racing. One vehicle also had an extremely loud muffler, according to police.
Withers was charged with street racing and driving a vehicle with a loud muffler. Guzman is charged with street racing. Both were released after posting a $2,000 personal recognizance bond, police said.
