2010 American Idol Finalist to Perform at JJC Fundraiser

Joliet Junior College will hold a benefit concert featuring Paige DeChausse, a 2010 American Idol finalist.

The concert will include instrumental and vocal performances to raise funds to buy the school's first Steinway grand piano. A variety of genres will be performed including jazz, classical, ragtime and tango. Besides DeChausse, faculty, alumni, students and guests. 

Other performers include JJC faculty Dr. Daniela Broderick, David Nuccio, Adam Cowger and Bonnie Johansen-Werner; Florentina Ramniceanu, violinist from the Orion Ensemble, former piano faculty Sue Malmberg, JJC students, and the JJC Percussion Ensemble.
 
In addition, a reception sponsored by the JJC Foundation will be held during intermission with hors d'oeuvres made by the college’s nationally-renowned Culinary Arts Department.
The event will begin at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Rd in Joliet. Tickets are $10 each.
