McAsey Holds 'Shred Day' Event to Help Residents Dispose of Old Documents

To help residents safely and securely destroy sensitive or unwanted documents, state Rep. Emily McAsey is hosting the 4th Annual Community Shred Day.

This free event will be held on Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at McAsey’s constituent service office located at 416 N. Weber Road, Romeoville.

“Shredding sensitive documents can help residents protect themselves from identity theft,” McAsey said.  “With so much personal information printed every year, from bank receipts to prescription drug orders, shredding unneeded items ensures that your records remain secure and do not fall into the wrong hands.”
