Failure to Register as Sex Offender: Romeoville Blotter

Feb. 28

Juan Gomez, 18, of the 400 block of Montrose in Romeoville, was charged with speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred in the area of Taylor near Paragon.

John Bergel, 27, of the 700 block of Farragut, was charged with aggravated battery. The arrest occurred in the 700 block of Farragut.

March 1

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for retail theft in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

Angel Morales, 19, of the 23700 block of W. Chicago St. in Plainfield, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber.

March 2

Jennifer Wittiemore, 27, of the 200 block of Opdyke Ave. in Mount Vernon (last known address), was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. The arrest occurred in the 1300 block of Marquette.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 900 block of Brassfield. Someone damaged a rear window of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $200.

March 3

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 1700 block of Gleneagle Ct. Someone damaged the door lock while attempting to enter the residence.

March 4

Bria Tolan, 21, of the 1800 block of Arbor Ln. in Crest Hill, was charged with obstructing identification, driving while license suspended, no insurance and speeding. The arrest occurred in the area of Route 53 and Taylor Road.

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 700 block of Oakridge Dr. Someone took a laptop valued at $400 from the delivery vehicle.

A theft over $500 was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. Someone took a cell phone, headphones and a water bottle from a locker at the business. Total estimated value of the items taken is $893.

March 5

Odon Tinoco, 18, of the 100 block of Robbin, was charged with possession of cannabis. The arrest occurred in the 600 block of Sedge Meadow.

Christopher Guzman, 21, of Plainfield, was charged with possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and Airport Road.

Ivan Guzman, 19, of Plainfield, was charged with possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and Airport Road.

March 6

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 700 block of Dalhart. Someone spray painted playground equipment. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $100.00.

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Tuscany. Someone took earbuds, sunglasses, an unknown number of CDs and a vehicle owner’s manual. Total estimated value of the items taken is $200.

March 7

Two criminal defacements of properties were reported in the 1900 block of Trafalger Drive. Someone used a marker to deface two vehicles that were parked in the driveways of the residences. Total estimated cost to remove the damage is $500.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 2000 block of Wedgeport Circle. Someone punctured a tire on a vehicle that was parked in the street.
