FBI Raids Home of Bolingbrook Teen Accused of Supporting ISIS

Mohammed Hamzah Khan accused of attempting to travel overseas to join terrorist group.

The home was first searched after the teen was arrested in October 2014 at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

Authorities didn’t say what prompted the second search last Thursday, the Herald reported, but an attorney for Mohammed Hamzah Khan said agents were looking for “communications equipment.”

Khan, 19, was arrested as he allegedly attempted to travel to Istanbul, Turkey, to join the Islamic terrorist group.

His younger siblings, a 16-year-old brother and 17-year-old sister, were with him at the time of his arrest and also planned to join ISIS, authorities maintain. The younger teens have not been charged.
