Founder's Day Weekend: Schedule Of Events, Entertainment

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Founder's Day Weekend kicks off Thursday in Romeoville. The fest, which runs through Sunday, will be held at Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Road.

The fest will feature live entertainment, a parade, art show, car show, chalk art competition, bags tournament, food, beer garden, kids activities and a fireworks show.

Here's what will be happening each day at the fest:

Thursday, open 6 to 9 p.m.

• 6 to 9 p.m. - food, beer garden, kids activities
• 6 to 6:30 p.m. - El Grito de Dolores (Mexican Consulate)
• 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Mariachi show, Sol de Oro
• 7:30 to 8 p.m. - Ballet Folklorico Infinity (performance)
• 8 to 9 p.m. - Banda la Enkantadora (band)

Friday, open 6 to 9:30 p.m.

• 6 to 9 p.m. - food, beer garden, kids activities
• 6 to 6:45 p.m. - Miss Jamie's Farm (kids entertainment)
• 7 to 9 p.m. - 7th Heaven (band)
• 9 to 9:30 p.m. - fireworks show

Saturday, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. - food, beer garden, kids activities
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Brass from the Past
• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Chalk the Drive contest
• 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - car show

• 1 to 5 p.m. - bicycle spin art
• 1 to 5 p.m. - COVID-19 vaccine pop-up
• 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. - Sandi Haynes and the Blue Rocket Band
• 2 to 6 p.m. - axe throwing by Lumberjax
• 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. - Chicago Bears Drum Line
• 3:45 to 4 p.m. - Art Beat Live (speed painting)
• 3 to 5 p.m. - face painting
