Girls Softball: Hot Pitching Keys Plainfield North in Victory Over Romeoville

Sophomore uses accuracy to silence Spartan hitters, earns first varsity win.

The Hot Read: Plainfield North’s Erin Enk dominated the Romeoville offense with an elusive changeup that led the Tigers to a 4-1 victory over Romeoville on Tuesday. Kelly Kennedy added a solo home run and Brace Oberg hit a two run homer in the win.

Patch’s MVP:  Enk dominated from start to finish and the Romeoville hitters could never figure out her changeup. The sophomore pitched a complete game with one walk, three strikeouts and one earned run on four hits. 

Key Stats:  Romeoville left seven runners on base and scored only one run despite Plainfield North committing three turnovers.
