Grab N Go Lunch Cart Helping Busy Romeoville Students
The cart is serving more than 100 customers a day.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Busy Romeoville High School students have a new option for their lunchtime meal: cashless “Grab N Go” lunch cart.
“We noticed more and more high school students are opting out of lunch for an extra class or more study time. But they’re still hungry and need a meal,” said Meghan Gibbons, Director of Nutrition Services for Valley View School District 365U. “We tried sack lunches through the cafeteria line last year but that didn’t work. But this seems to be catching on.”
The Grab N Go cart, located in the main hallway steps from both the cafeteria and the main entrance to RHS, contains three or four entrée options, fruits, vegetables and milk. Students receive a bag and can quickly build their own combo meal, pay for it with a swipe of their ID and move on to their next destination.
