Gun Discharge, Burglary, Bike Stolen: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents occurred between May 20 and May 31.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

May 20

Brian Bosman, 28, of the 200 block of Charleston Ave., was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm/ammunition without FOID card, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also picked up on two in-state warrants. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of Garland.

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Someone took an iPhone valued at $749 from the business.

May 21

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of cannabis. The arrest occurred in the area of Naperville Drive and Honeytree.

May 22

Jory Sherrill, 54, of the 1300 block of Highpoint Dr., was charged with criminal damage to property. The arrest occurred in the 1300 block of Highpoint Dr.

A burglary was reported in the 500 block of Amherst. Someone took a mini-bike valued at $400.00 from the garage of the residence.

May 24

Francisco Martinez, 33, of Chicago, was charged with three in-state warrants, driving while license suspended, no insurance and no headlights when required. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and 135th St.

A theft under $500 was reported in the 0-100 block of Alexander Circle. An unknown person took a donation box containing approximately $50.00 from the business.

May 25

Margaret Giles, 55, of Baton Rouge, LA, was charged with three in-state warrants, driving while license restricted, improper lane use, no insurance and unsafe tires. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and I-55.

A residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of South Bayles Drive. Someone damaged a window screen of the residence. Nothing was taken from the home.

Samuel Tassone, 19, of Homer Glen, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use. The arrest occurred in the area of Romeo Road and Centennial Trail.

May 26

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1600 of Aster Drive. Someone cut a tire on a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of the damage is $200.

May 29

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Macon. Someone peeled the side pillar molding from a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $50.

May 30

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Someone took multiple computer hard drives with a total value of $299.94 from the business.

May 31

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 200 block of Highpoint. Someone keyed a vehicle that was parked in the common parking area. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $2,000.
