Health Inspection Report: Tasty Waffle

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Ever wonder how clean the restaurants you frequent are? Take a look at the Will County Health Department’s Food Service Establishment Inspection Report for Tasty Waffle, located at 642 Weber in Romeoville.

The restaurant received a sanitation score of 78/100 and then a corrected score of 92/100 after making some immediate corrections.

“The initial score IS the score on record,” said Jill Santoro of the Will County Health Department. “They would have corrected violations and made changes to receive corrected score before we left.”

Among some of the violations are:

• Employee prepping chicken without hair restraint

• Eggs at 75 degrees F

• Gyro meat at 70 degrees F

• Employee drink stored over prep table

Most of the violations were to be fixed by the next inspection date, while some needed an immediate fix.
