Homeowner Restrains Accused Home Invader for Police

Man was in process of burglarizing home, taken to hospital by police where he was treated for minor injuries, Romeoville cops say.

A 19-year-old Romeoville man has been charged with home invasion after he was restrained by a homeowner during a residential burglary, police said.

Joshua Zeibarth has been charged with home invasion after he allegedly broke into a home in the 100 block of Yarrow Court early Sunday morning.

Romeoville police responded to a burglary in progress around 4:30 a.m. When officers arrived the homeowner was physically restraining Zeibarth inside the residence, according to a police news release.

Officers took Zeibarth into custody. He was transported to Bolingbrook Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Zeibarth is at the Will County Detention Facility pending a bond hearing.
