Interstate 55, Weber Road Project Finishing In The Fall
Traffic signals are set to turn on this week at Normantown and Weber, and the week of Aug. 22 for Remington and Windham.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — As summer construction season begins to wind down, the Interstate 55 and Weber Road interchange project is set to finish in the fall.
The Village of Romeoville shared a status update for the project on July 26, and traffic signals are set to turn on this week at Normantown and Weber, and the week of Aug. 22 for Remington and Windham.
For the north side, sidewalk still needs to be poured at several location, a retaining wall will be installed at Normantown, and electrical work will continue into September.

The surface course paving of ramps and paving of the shared-use path remains delayed due to the quarry strike, according to the Village.
For the south contract, the project is in the final stages, and permanent striping still needs to be finished.
