Irene King is “Ba Da Ba Ba Bah, Lovin' it” at McDonald's

Irene King Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to help raise money for the school.

Romeoville| Irene King Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to help raise money for the school.

Teachers and support staff from Irene King volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, September 19th, 2019, at the Romeoville McDonald's located on Independence Blvd. Where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.

The Irene King staff members worked various jobs throughout the restaurant during this three-hour fundraising event. These jobs included, wearing an apple pie costume, apple pie seller, making ice cream treats, Front counter helper, delivering meals to customers, calling out orders, and working the drive-thru.

The proceeds from the 240 Apple Pies sold went directly to benefit the School. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were also donated directly to Irene King.

Marvin Spence, Owner-Operator of the Romeoville McDonald's is delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
