Last Chance to Register for New Valley View Preschool

The new program will launch in the 2017-18 school year.

Parents interested in sending their pre-schooler to a new program set to be launched next school year at Valley View School District 365U’s Gold Star-rated Early Childhood Center have until Feb. 22 to register.

For just $245 a month, up to 200 half-day spots in classrooms staffed by certified teachers will be available for children who are at least three but do not turn five before Sept.1. Applications are being accepted from out-of-district residents but first priority will be given to families who live within VVSD boundaries.

Because the number of spots available is limited, a lottery will be held on Feb. 23 to determine students who have been accepted into the program. Parents who apply will receive an e-mail no later than Feb. 27 notifying them if their child has been accepted or has been placed on a waiting list.

Parents whose children are accepted must secure the spot by making a non-refundable $65 payment between April 3 and 7.

Tuition for the program is $2,450. It can be paid in 10 equal $245 monthly installments with the first payment due May 1, or paid at once with a 4 percent discount ($2,350.) Those families who have another child in VVECC will receive a 10 percent discount.
