Lawsuit: Pregnant Woman Beaten Due to Lack of Security at Romeoville Hotel
Plaintiff says she was attacked after hotel employee gave her room key to assailant.

A woman is suing the owner of the Romeoville Super 8 hotel, alleging that she was beaten while four months pregnant after a hotel worker gave a room key to her assailant.
The woman, Pooyeh Banifazl, filed suit in Cook County Friday against Krishna Yogeshwar, Inc., which operates the hotel, the Chicago Tribune reported. The hotel is being accused of negligent security
The suit alleges that Banifazl was staying at the hotel with her fiance in October 2012 when an employee gave the couple’s room key to another woman, according to the Tribune. The woman allegedly claimed to be the man’s fiancee, and was given the key without being asked for proof or verification, the suit claims.

Court documents allege that the women then went to the room, where she hit, beat and punched the four-months-pregnant Banifazl.
Banifazl is seeking at least $50,000 in damages for “personal injuries and severe emotional distress,” plus legal fees.
