Learn a Little History at the Isle a la Cache Museum
A free program on Gurdon Hubbard will be held Sunday, Feb. 28.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A program on “The Amazing Life and Many Names of Gurdon Hubbard” will be presented from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Isle a la Cache Museum, 501 E. Romeo Road.
Gary Mechanic, veteran tour guide and storyteller for Friends of the Chicago Portage, will illuminate the many roles of Hubbard, who lived in Illinois in the 1800s and was instrumental in Chicago’s development from “four and a half cabins and a Potawatomi town” to one of the greatest cities in history.
The free program is for ages 16 and older. Registration is required by Friday, Feb. 26; call 815-886-1467.
