Lewis University Honored As A Best Regional University

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Once again, Lewis University has been recognized by several ranking institutions for its quality education and value, according to a news release from the university. U.S. News & World Report, Money.com, and Forbes.com all selected Lewis University as a top University in the nation and Illinois.

U. S. News & World Report honored Lewis University as one of the Top 25 Best Regional Universities in the Midwest, the university said.

In the last year, Lewis University decreased the student-to-faculty ratio to 13 to 1. Also, the incoming students’ average SAT/ACT scores increased; and 50 percent of them were in the Top 25 percent of their high school class.

The Romeoville-based institution was recognized for the first time this year for the diversity within its student population. The 56 percent diversity made it one of the most diverse in the Regional Midwest Universities, the university said.

Lewis University was once again recognized in the following categories.

• Social Mobility Among Regional Universities (Midwest)
• Best Colleges for Veterans Among Regional Universities (Midwest)

The following academic programs were among the best in the country:

• Computer Science Programs
• Engineering (No Doctorate Offered) Programs
• Nursing Programs

Lewis University was identified again by Money.com as one of the Best Colleges in America 2022, the university said. The personal financial strategy website analyzed almost 700 four-year colleges by evaluating data on quality, affordability, and student outcomes. Lewis University ranked as the seventh-best medium-sized, private university in the Midwest.

Forbes’ America Top Colleges List also included Lewis University as one of the Top 10 among privates in Illinois and in the top of all degree-granting postsecondary institutions in the U.S., the university said. Lewis University made Forbes’ lists for Top Colleges 2021, in Private Colleges and in the Midwest.
