Lewis University Ranks Among Best Online Master’s Degree Programs

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Lewis University was included in five of the 2022 Best Online Master’s Degree Program rankings from U.S. News & World Report, placing the programs in the top 215 programs in the nation, according to the university.

The rankings evaluate more than 1,600 online bachelor's and master's degree programs that are designed to be administered online, the university said. Rankings are based on indicators such as student services and technology, faculty credentials, and student engagement, using data collected directly from each institution. Only degree-granting programs that are offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions were considered, and the programs that score the highest are those applying educational best practices specific for distance learners, according to a release.

Lewis University’s Master of Criminal Justice program was placed in the top 64-81 Best Online Master's in Criminal Justice Programs, the university said. The Lewis University program offers either a criminal justice or security studies track 100 percent online as well as in-person.

Lewis University was also considered to be in the top 65-85 of Best Online Master's in Information Technology Programs. Lewis University provides a master’s Computer Science program in-person and online, a master’s Data Science program in-person and online, as well as a master’s Cybersecurity program in-person and online, according to the university.

Lewis' Master of Nursing program earned a ranking of 82 on the Best Online Master's in Nursing Programs list. Students can choose specialization options based on career goals - Nursing Education, Healthcare Systems Leadership, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or School Nurse, the university said.

Lewis University Graduate School of Management programs placed in the 123 spot of the Best Online Master's in Business Programs (non-MBA) list, the university said. Master’s programs include Business Analytics, Finance, Organizational Leadership, Project Management.

Finally, Lewis University’s Master of Business Administration program ranked 214th among Best Online MBA Programs.
