Local Heroes Will Be Saluted at Romeoville Football Game Friday Night

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics and veterans will be admitted to the Spartans' home game vs. Plainfield Central free of charge.

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, veterans and other heroes will be recognized when Romeoville opens play in the Southwest Prairie Conference on Friday night (Sept. 13) by playing host to Plainfield Central.

Kickoff for the varsity football game between the two rivals is at 7 p.m.

The Spartans (1-1) will be looking to rebound from a 41-7 loss to Valley View School District rival Bolingbrook and to start conference play on a high note. And coaches, players and officials will take time before the kickoff to recognize a number of local heroes.

Free admission will be granted to police officers, firefighters, paramedics and veterans. All will be recognized during a brief ceremony on the field at 6 p.m.
