Lukancic Spring Play? Nope. 'Middelton Zephyr' Student Film Instead

Did you ever wonder what it was like to be a senior in high school in the 1960s? Check out Lukancic Middle School’s latest dramatic initiative, “The Middleton Zephyr,” April 6-8.

‘Zephyr” (a video theatrical yearbook) features Conner Murphy (Mike Miocic) who literally steps out of the yearbook pictures to take the audience on a tour of his life. Through annual snapshots, Conner tells the "real story" behind each photograph including how Wiley (Anthony Miocic) and Tater (A.J. Burnett) stole the rival school mascot, the Halloween when the "curse of a thousand dead eyes" almost came true, who was dating who, and who almost didn't graduate.

The cast and crew have been busy the past two months filming all the scenes and now Romeoville High School grad (and former Lukancic student) Dalton DeVries, who served as Director of Photography and camera operator, is now putting the finishing touches on the innovative film effort.
Cast members include: Mike Miocic (Conner Murphy), Alex Taran (Neil Garner), A.J. Burnett (Tater Tagger), Samantha Padal (Principal Wallace), Hope Boness (Mrs. Friedek), Anthony Miocic (Wiley Linden), Erika Ornelas (Rose Baines), Emma Mager (Susie Montrose), Isabelle Skibinski (Sandra Jeffers), Nicholas Agyemang (Carl Humphries), Zuidya Abruzzi (Miss Sherwood) and Jennifer Lugo (Mom).

Olivia Anderso, Neomii Barron, Lydia Delk, Riley Helder, Angelica Masnica, Matthew Moyolt, Yarlis Ortiz, Jaden Sanneman, Lydia Springer, Weronika Tokarska, Elizabeth Vondr, Megan West, Lyla Zemeckis and Grace Weber are extras.
