Man Sent Escort, Masseuse and Fugitive to Romeoville Woman's Home to 'Alarm and Disturb' Her: Cops

A man sent an escort, a masseuse from a website notorious for advertising prostitutes and a wanted fugitive to the home of the woman living next-door to his former girlfriend, police said.

Christopher Kontos, 40, of Buffalo Grove is now a wanted fugitive himself for allegedly harassing the Romeoville woman.

Over the course of three days in December leading up to Christmas Eve, Kontos sent Sara Fedyak from High Class Chicago escort service, Pamela Ephraim, a “masseuse from Backpage.com,” and Dechuan Grant, 26, a Chicago man wanted on a Fraud charge in Minnesota, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

Grant was arrested after he showed up at the woman’s house and taken to the Will County jail to await extradition to Minnesota. He arrived at the woman’s home to “hang out,” the complaint said.

The visits from the escort, masseuse and alleged fraudster were designed to “alarm and disturb” the woman, according to the complaint.

Kontos faces charges of disorderly conduct and if convicted could be sentenced to as long as 30 days in jail.

Kontos had lived with his girlfriend in the house next door to the woman and her daughter he was allegedly harassing. He was charged with battering the girlfriend in December 2012 but the case was dropped when she failed to appear for his trial.

The woman identified as the victim in the criminal complaint, who described herself as a “senior citizen,” could not fathom why Kontos was allegedly tormenting her.

“I have no idea why he’s bothering us,” she said, calling the ordeal “scary, it was very scary.”

“It’s terrible,” her daughter said. “We’re living in fear.”
