Man Who Fell From Chicago Building IDed as Former Lockport Student

Former Homer Glen resident Zachary Lammers died in an apparently accidental fall early Monday.

A man who fell to his death from a Chicago condo building his been identified as former Lockport Township HIgh School football player Zachary Lammers, 27.

Lammers fell from his condo in the 200 block of North Columbus at around 2:55 a.m. Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune. A death investigation is under way, but preliminary information suggests the fall was accidental, police told the Tribune.

According to the Herald News, Lammers is a former Homer Glen resident and Lockport Township High School football player who helped the team to state titles in 2002 and 2003.

“It’s so tragic,” former assistant football coach Jim Hall told the paper. “He had so much to live for and so much to give.”
