Martinez Ecology Club Holding Recycling Drive Nov. 1-7

Items should be dropped off at the Romeoville school during normal school hours.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Martinez Middle School Ecology Club is hosting a drive to collect such gently used items as clothing, shoes, linens and other textiles, kitchen items, sports equipment, media, books, and toys from Nov. 1-7.

Other items the club will accept include curtains, tablecloths, backpacks, purses, wallets, small toasters, blenders, mixers, curling irons, puzzles, stuffed animals, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, jewelry, crafts, candles, baskets, records, tapes and much more.

Items should be dropped off at the Romeoville school during normal school hours or during the club’s recycle drive drop-off from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Nov. 5 in the parking lot on the south side of the school. The event is serving as a fundraiser for the club.

The Club is also collecting plastic bags for its annual recycling contest from now until Earth Day, April 22.
