Minivan with Shotgun Stolen, DUI, Retail Theft: Romeoville Blotter
Arrests and incidents occurred between Sept. 6 and Sept. 21.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Sept. 6
Carlos Velasquez, 24, of the 400 block of Wildwood Ct. in Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed. The arrest occurred in the area of Naperville and Marquette.

Sept. 7
Daniel Aguilar, 30, of the 600 block of Mendota Ln. in Romeoville, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber.

Sept. 9
Devon Hamilton, 21, of the 500 block of King Arthur Way in Bolingbrook, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, defective brakes and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The arrest occurred in the area of Route 53 and University Parkway.
Sept. 11
Delilah Zambrano, 27, of the 1000 block of N. Raynor Ave. in Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane use, improper lighting and failure to signal. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and Creekside.
Sept. 13
Lynda Salinas, 60, of the 500 block of Montrose Dr. in Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to yield. The arrest occurred in the area of Belmont and Independence.
A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested for retail theft in the 400 block of South Weber Road.
Sept. 14
A theft over $500 was reported in the 300 block of Shenandoah. Someone took a gas powered scooter valued at $550 from the yard of the residence.
Sept. 15
Felicia Amato, 26, of the 800 block of Oakton St. in Elk Grove Village, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. The arrest occurred in the area of Belmont and 135th Street.
Andrew Banas, 26, of the 500 block of S. Scott Ln. in Romeoville, was charged with disorderly conduct. The arrest occurred in the 500 block of Scott Lane.
A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 0-100 block of Alexander Circle. Someone took a minivan containing a shotgun, ammunition, a cell phone and identification cards. The keys were left in the vehicle. Total value of the items taken including the vehicle is $5,120.
Sept. 16
Erasmo Flores, 47, of the 1200 block of Julia, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and no insurance. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and Grand.
Sept. 17
An attempted burglary was reported in the 200 block of Nippert. Someone damaged a window and sliding door lock while attempting to gain access to the residence. A neighbor scared away the offenders.
Sept. 19
A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 100 block of Six Pines Dr. Someone spray painted graffiti on a fence. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $100.
Sept. 20
Antonio Franklin, 18, of the 300 block of Nicholson in Joliet, was charged with battery. The arrest occurred in the 1200 block of Naperville Drive.
Jurnee Howard-Dunning, 21, of the 3800 block of Gloria Ln. in Joliet, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting an officer, obstructing an officer and possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred in the area of Lakeshore Drive and Lakeshore Court.
A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 0-100 block of North Paragon. Someone spray painted graffiti on the side of building. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $100.
Sept. 21
A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of LeMoyne Avenue. Someone entered a parked vehicle and removed a gun valued at $400.
A theft under $500 was reported in the 700 Pine Trail. Someone took a standing patio heater valued at $180 from the yard of the residence.
