Mob Action, DUI, Resident Scares Away Burglar: Romeoville Blotter
Arrests and incidents occurred Oct. 14 and Nov. 2.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Oct. 14
Darius Baxter, 28, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and expired registration.

Oct. 16
Crystal Chavez, 20, of the 300 block of McKool Ave., was charged with driving under the influence and no driver’s license on person. The arrest occurred in the area of Beverly Griffin Drive.

Oct. 20
Moiz Arshad, 20, of the 1900 block of Whitmore Dr. in Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence, no insurance and failure to signal. The arrest occurred in the area of Weber and 135th Street.
Oct. 21
A burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Forestwood. Someone took a generator, hammer drills, a welder and other tools were taken from the business. Total estimated value of the items taken is $5237.00.
Oct. 23
Shytaran Bradley, 27, of the 300 block of Thistle Drive in Bolingbrook, Raymon Ferrero, 27, of the 1100 block of Jerald Dr. in Joliet, Alexandro Hernandez, 24, of the 600 block of Fenton Ave. in Romeoville and Bradley Mendoza, 24, of the 500 block of E. Bailey Dr. in Naperville, were all charged with mob action. The arrests occurred in the 2000 block of Sutcliffe Ct.
Letoya Smart, 42, of the 2000 block of Sutcliffe Ct. in Romeoville, was charged with reckless driving. The arrest occurred in the 2000 block of Sutcliffe Ct.
An attempted burglary was reported in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue. Someone tried to gain entrance into the home. The resident scared away the person.
Oct. 24
A burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Southcreek Parkway. Someone took numerous quantities and varieties of electrical equipment and wire from the business. Total value of the items taken is $19,260.00.
A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1900 block of Brimstone Road. Someone broke the rear window of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $200.00.
Oct. 25
Kimberly Glista, 41, of the 600 block of Avalon in Romeoville, was charged with criminal trespass and criminal damage to property. The arrest occurred in the 900 block of Dunbridge.
Oct. 26
Chris Perez, 27, of the 1500 block of Maple Rd. in Joliet, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber.
Sara Moreno, 48, of the 1500 block of Maple Rd. in Joliet, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.
Oct. 27
A theft of motor vehicle parts was reported in the 700 block of Oakridge Drive. Someone took a battery valued at $200.00 from a vehicle that was parked at the business.
Oct. 28
A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 0-100 block of Alexander. A toy drone valued at $30.00 was taken from the business by an unknown person.
A theft over $500.00 was reported in the 0-100 block of Hangar Road. Someone took a trailer valued at $1600.00 from the business.
Oct. 29
A criminal damage to property was reported in the 1700 block of Rebecca. Someone egged and broke the rear window of a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated amount of damage is $300.
Oct. 30
A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 0-100 block of North Paragon. Someone painted a wall and two windows of a building. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $300.00.
Nov. 1
A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 1600 block of Aster. Someone spray painted graffiti on the garage door of the residence. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $500.00.
Nov. 2
A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 100 block of South Southcreek. Someone spray painted graffiti on a parked vehicle. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $2000.00.
