'To Nerf And Protect' Planned In Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Police Department will host, "To Nerf and Protect," a free event which encourages communication, teamwork and leadership skills, according to the Village. The free event is for ages 11-14, and will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on March 12 at the recreation center, 900 W. Romeo Road.

The event is sponsored by the Village of Romeoville, the Romeoville Police Department, Fat Ricky's, Romeoville FOP, Dart Zone and Chicago Nerf Wars.

Participants can spend the day with Romeoville officers and brush up on their Nerf skills, the Village said. Throughout the day, participants will do warm-ups, be put to the test in our Blaster Safety Course, spend some time at target practice, play capture the flag and more. Equipment, the battleground course, eye protection and supplies will be provided to each participant.

Space is limited to the first 60 applications, and you can apply online. Completed applications must be turned in by Feb. 22 at the recreation department.
