ROMEOVILLE, IL — In an effort to unite all those interested in the O'Hara Woods Nature Preserve, a Facebook group, Friends of O'Hara Woods, has been created.

This group is coordinated by The Conservation Foundation as part of a grant provided by CITGO, and provides a place for volunteers, hikers, birders, photographers, and all community members to share their experiences at O'Hara Woods, and to keep community members involved with the happenings at the O'Hara Woods Nature Preserve.

The O'Hara Woods Nature Preserve, which is owned by the Village of Romeoville and is located at 524 Belmont Drive, comprises 70 acres of protected open space that was officially designated as an Illinois Nature Preserve in 1982.
