No Injuries After Truck Tips Over in Romeoville

The Plainfield truck driver was given a warning citation.

A truck carrying machine blanks flipped on its side early Thursday morning, according to Romeoville Police Commander John Ferdinardo.

The incident occurred at 6:21 a.m. on Weber and Remington when a truck traveling westbound on Remington attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Weber.

“His cargo shifted to the right, causing the truck to flip over,” Ferdinardo said.

The Lisa Express, Inc. truck was driven by William Miller of Plainfield. He was given a warning citation for failure to secure load. The contents of the truck had to be unloaded before it could be righted.

The Romeoville Police Department and the Illinois State Police Truck Enforcement investigated the incident.

No injuries were reported and the scene was cleared at 1:11 p.m.
