Dorothy Mae Hahn, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, at the age of 94, on Monday, September 4, 2023, at her home in Plainfield. She was born in Blue Island, IL, on October 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (nee Homerding) Mohr. Dorothy resided in Romeoville for most of her life before moving to Plainfield in 2017. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Parish in Romeoville.

Dorothy enjoyed her life with her family and friends. She had a passion for her pets and her collection of various unique items. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Charles W. Hahn; grandchildren, Richard Hill, Charles (fiancé Stephanie Colvin) Hartley, and Bryan Hill; her caregiver, Raquel Soltis; and her dear friend, Jeanne Warsaw.

She is preceded by her loving husband, Charles A.; her two daughters, Barbara Ann Hill and Sandra K. Hartley; and her parents.

Funeral Services for Dorothy Mae Hahn will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Parish, in Romeoville, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, IL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Parish, 505 Kingston Dr, Romeoville, IL 60446.
