Jordon Sklut
Age 60, of Chesterton, IN, and formerly of Morris, IL, passed away at his home, Saturday, August 9th, 2025. He was born in Chicago, IL, April 25, 1965, to the late Ann Elizabeth (Porth) and Bennie Leonard Sklut.

Jordon was the father of McKenna (Mitchell) Rains and Mattea Sklut; beloved papa of Adler Rains; dear brother of Barbara (Patrick) Duffy, and Pamela (Brent) Keller, as well as uncle to Max, Ariel, Kelly, and Kerry. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Brooke Harrington. Jordon had numerous friends who will miss him deeply.
Jordan had lived in Indiana for most of his adult life. He was a proud member of Local Iron Workers Association Union 395, in Hammond, IN, and the United States Trotting Association.

Jordon loved watching sports, in particular his favorite teams: The Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. Although the teams had let him down with their performance, he was still an avid fan. In his spare time, Jordon enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, namely his grandson. He had a deep passion for horses that he has passed down to his grandson. Jordon could make anyone laugh and had a knack for telling stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Jordon Sklut will be Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge, IL, where interment will immediately follow. Rabbi Jenny Steinberg-Martinez will officiate.
