A beloved father, grandpa, brother, and friend passes away at age 78.

Steven L. Rande
Steven L. Rande, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully at the age of 78, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Lightways Hospice. He was born in Peoria, IL, on August 22, 1946, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (nee Alstott) Rande.

He retired from Markelz Office Products after 35 years of dedicated service. He was involved in Troy baseball, and was an active member of the Joliet Moose, Joliet Elk’s, and the Shorewood Lion’s Club.
Steven is survived by his son, Brian (Janet) Rande; grandchildren, Brenna (Jeremy) Fennewald, Quinn Rande, and Camden Rande; his twin sister, Sonia Morris; sister-in-law, Marcia (John) Wolf; and several other family members, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary.
A Memorial Gathering for Steven will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
