1. iPic Theater: Impress your date with a “first class” movie experience. iPic Theater at the Promenade in Bolingbrook takes going to the movies to the next level. You can pick your seats while purchasing your tickets online, enjoy fresh meals and a fully stocked bar and are escorted to your movie seat by a theater employee. The seats are actually massive plush reclining lounge chairs that will make you wonder how you ever sat through a movie any other way.

2.  You don’t have to bowl a 300 to enjoy a date at Brunswick Zone in Romeoville. Take your date here to bowl on one of the 48 lanes and then chat fireside at Brunswick Zone’s bar and grill. If you’re looking for a late night date, enjoy Brunswick Zone’s “After Dark.” Brunswick After Dark starts each Friday at midnight, and includes two hours of cosmic bowling, shoe rental, DJ music and giveaways for $10 a person.

3. Rialto Theatre: The Rialto Square Theatre is a landmark in downtown Joliet, putting its majestic spell on couples for decades. Since there’s nothing better than a good laugh on a date, plan ahead and take your sweetie to see comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The Rialto recently announced that the comedian will perform at the theater at 7 p.m. Oct. 28. Tickets go on sale Friday at 9 a.m.

4.  This Japanese steakhouse and sushi lounge in downtown Naperville is fun and chic. It features hibachi grills as well as two bars for cocktails and sushi. Every seat in the restaurant is a hibachi, which makes for an entertaining date whether it’s your first or 50th anniversary. And be sure not to pass on one of Kiku’s fabulous martinis.

5. William Alexander Wine Studio: William Alexander in downtown Lockport is a wine and martini bar featuring a wine tasting room and home décor store. The bar has a big city feel in an intimate welcoming atmosphere. Take your date here for a wine tasting or settle in with a favorite bottle to share while listening to local musicians. This weekend catch Sietz and Soundz as they play acoustic blues and classic rock on Friday night or Two Horse as they play studio favorites on Saturday night.
