District 202 Kindergarten Registration Slated For April-May

Most of District 202’s 17 elementary schools will register kindergarten students for regular, half-day kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year in April and May.

Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, to start kindergarten this fall. Registration will be taken at the child’s home school.

Fees for regular education, half-day kindergarten for 2017-18 will remain at $88.

School registration information and forms is posted on the District 202 web site (www.psd202.org) and on the individual elementary websites under “Parents and Students.”

NOTE: ALL INFORMATION HERE PERTAINS TO REGULAR, HALF-DAY KINDERGARTEN UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.

Please call your home school directly for more information about full-day kindergarten registration and related events not mentioned here, and to make appointments to register your kindergarten student(s).

District 202 elementary school kindergarten registration information:

Central – Evening walk-in registration on April 19th from 4-7 p.m. Please call the school for daytime or evening appointments can be made now. Kindergarten Round-up is May 18th from 6:30-7:45 p.m. (815) 436-9278.

Charles Reed –April 10th from 4-7 p.m.; walk-in registration starting April 11th from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Kindergarten Round-up will be held from 6-7 p.m. on May 3rd (815) 254-2160.

Creekside – Registration is ongoing by appointment between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Please call 815-577-4700. Walk-in registration on May 4th from 4:30pm-7:30pm.

Crystal Lawns – Registration is ongoing during the school day. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Grand Prairie and Crystal Lawns elementary schools will hold Kindergarten Orientation on August 9th starting at 5:15 p.m. in the Grand Prairie gym. Eagle Pointe –April 20th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Kindergarten Round-up for incoming families will be held from 6-7 p.m. May 11th (815) 577-4800.

Eichelberger – Registration was April 6th. Kindergarten Round-up will be held May 4th at 6:30 p.m. (815) 577-3606.

Freedom – Please call for an appointment the week of April 17th-21st between 8 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Kindergarten Round-up will be held from 6-7 p.m. May 9th. (815) 254-4005.

Grand Prairie – Parents may call the school office to schedule a time for registration Monday through Friday at (815) 436-7000. Grand Prairie and Crystal Lawns elementary schools will hold Kindergarten Orientation on August 9th from 5:15-6:45 p.m. in the Grand Prairie gym.

Lakewood Falls – Starting April 10th, by appointment from 10-10:45 a.m. and from 1-1:45 p.m. (815) 439-4560.

Liberty – Registration is ongoing during the school day by appointment; with an Evening Registration Night on April 11th from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Please call (815) 609-3037 to schedule an appointment for the evening or daytime registration.

Lincoln – Registration is ongoing during the school day by appointment. Appointments available at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 2 p.m.; and evening registration by appointment on May 8th from 5:30-7:15 p.m. Kindergarten Information Night will be held May 11th at 6 p.m. (815) 577-4500.

Meadow View – Registration during the school day is underway and ongoing. Please call the school to schedule an evening appointment. Kindergarten Round-up will be from 6-7 p.m. May 18th. (815) 439-4828.

Ridge – April 12th from 4-6 p.m. Kindergarten Round-up from 6-6:45 p.m. April 13th. Kindergarten Lap Sits from 2:30-3 p.m. and 6:30-7 p.m. April 27th, May 4th and May 11th. (815) 577-4630.

River View – April 11th, from 4:30-7 p.m. After April 11th, please contact the school between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for an appointment. (815) 439-4840.

Thomas Jefferson – Registration was held March 21st. However, new parents are welcome and encouraged to call the school for more information as needed. (815) 577-2021.

Walker’s Grove – April 12th, from 4:30-7 p.m. Full-day Kindergarten Round-up will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on April 18th, and half-day Kindergarten Round-up will be from 7-8 p.m. on April 18th. (815) 439-2885

Wesmere – Registration begins April 10th between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Appointments are not required. An Evening Registration Program will be held from 4-7 p.m. April 26th . No appointment needed. Kindergarten Round-up is May 11th from 5:45-7 p.m. (815) 439-3244.
