Pollinator Party Planned At Isle A La Cache

The "Pollinator Party!" is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 25, during Pollinator Week 2022.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Will County will host a Pollinator Party on June 25 at Isle A La Cache to teach visitors about insects and animals that perform the important job of pollinating plants, according to a news release from the district.

The "Pollinator Party!" is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 25, during Pollinator Week 2022, the district said. This year’s global theme for Pollinator Week is “Wings of Life.”

A special presentation will feature live bats and their roles in pollination, the district said. Guests can also watch the documentary, “The Guardians,” which discusses monarch butterflies.

The event will also discuss how to support pollinators at home with insect hotels, gardens and plants native to the region.
