I-55 Ramp Closures At I-355 Start June 11
The work is part of improvements on I-55 from from Weber Road to Willow Springs Road.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that overnight ramp closures will take place on northbound Interstate 55 at Interstate 355, for asphalt paving, beginning, weather permitting, the week of June 11. The closures are part of the ongoing improvements to Interstate 55 from Weber Road to Willow Springs Road.
In order to complete the work, the ramps that carry traffic from northbound Interstate 55 to northbound and southbound Interstate 355 will be closed for a single night during the week of June 11. The closure will last from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. A posted detour will direct northbound I-55 traffic to take the Lemont Road exit ramp to re-enter southbound I-55 in order to access northbound or southbound I-355. The entrance ramp from Joliet Road will remain open to traffic.
The closures are part of a larger project to improve Interstate 55 between Weber Road and Willow Springs Road in Bolingbrook, Woodridge, Romeoville, Darien, Burr Ridge and Willowbrook. The scope of the project includes resurfacing, roadway patching, bridge deck repairs, drainage improvements and installation of new traffic signals.
