Record Attendance for Romeoville Daddy-Daughter Dance
This year marked the first ever "matinee" event.

This year's Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department Daddy-Daughter Ball saw its highest attendance to date on Saturday. The first-ever "Daddy-Daughter Matinee" was held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with an all-time-high turnout of 318 people, according to the Village of Romeoville.
"We wanted to accommodate more residents and also understand that time is an issue for many and with high hopes we introduced the matinee," said Superintendent of Recreation Marissa Cardoni.
Participants had a blast with activities including dancing, crafts, a photo booth, dinner and desserts, the village said, and "princesses" came to surprise guests with singing, dancing and pictures.
