Remodeled Romeoville ALDI To Host Grand Re-Opening

Product samples, a "Produce for a Year" sweepstakes are part of the festivities.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The expansion and remodeling at the Romeoville ALDI store is nearly complete. The retailer announced this week that the store, 398 S. Weber Road, will host a reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 28. Approved by the village in February, the 2,060-square-foot expansion includes more refrigerated space and a reconfigured checkout area.

ALDI said it is remodeling 130 Chicago-area stores, with a "focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections, and more room for customers’ favorite products." The company added, "Remodeled stores will also feature a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting."

A grand reopening is slated for 8:25 a.m. July 28, with a ribbon cutting, "Golden Ticket" giveaway, eco-friendly bag distribution, product sampling and "Produce for a Year" sweepstakes.
