Questions will not be taken from the audience at the Feb. 24 Candidates Night. Rather, the moderator will select questions to ask from those submitted.
An informal “meet and greet” with the candidates will follow the forum. Light refreshments will be served.
CAPE (the Coordination of Administration and Parent Groups for Educational Efficiency) was established 39 years ago to allow parent groups and administrators to share concerns and ideas in an effort to promote unity throughout District 202.
CAPE members are hosting the Candidates Night to foster an accurate understanding of the position of each District 202 Board candidate.
“As a community-based nonprofit organization, we believe it is our responsibility to raise awareness of and facilitate discussion concerning issues deemed important by community residents,” Vinson said.
“A public forum for all candidates to share their priorities regarding their potential roles as Board of Education members is an effective means of achieving this goal,” she said.
