A new restaurant is coming to the west side of Romeoville and it’s sure to make a splash! Surf's Up is a sea food restaurant that specializes in king crab legs, fried lobster, and fried green tomatoes. On Sundays, they'll change up the menu, serving soul food favorites like walleye fish, short ribs, and macaroni & cheese. They’ll be having their ribbon cutting on Friday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. and the public is invited. Appetizers will be served and a live DJ will be there to keep the party going until 4 p.m.

“We are always excited to welcome new dining options to Romeoville,” stated Mayor John Noak. “Surf’s Up is a franchise that has experienced success in other communities and we anticipate that success will continue here.”

Surf’s Up is located at 175 Highpoint Drive, inside the Friendship Center. They are open Tuesday-Sunday and closed on Monday. They can be reached at 618-787-3787 (618-SURFS-UP) and are on Instagram and Facebook. Surf’s Up has locations in Chicago, Maywood, and Oak Park.
