Road Rage Ice Scraper Attack Lands Man In Jail: Cops
The early morning assault left the victim bleeding, according to Romeoville police.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Joliet man is charged with aggravated assault/use of a deadly weapon after an early morning road rage incident in Romeoville, police said. Ty William Sanborn, 43, of the 0-100 block of Circle Drive, was arrested early Saturday morning after an incident near Renwick Road and Zachary Drive.
Romeoville Police Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said police responded to the intersection at around 5:23 a.m. Saturday to find the victim bleeding from the head.
According to police, Sanborn and the other driver were involved in a road rage incident when Sanborn got out of his vehicle, approached the other driver and struck him in the head with a car ice scraper.

Police said the victim, a 58-year-old man, was bleeding but refused medical treatment at the scene.
Sanborn was booked into the Will County jail. He was in court Monday afternoon, when his bond was set at $20,000, according to Will County court documents. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 12. Court records do not list an attorney for Sanborn.
